Abstract: Background:The Countryside & Wildlife Team (C&W Team) of Neath Port Talbot Council (the Council) intend to undertake a project this year focusing on habitat management and restoration onlocal places for nature around the county, particularly Local Nature Reserves. The project will involve bringing existing ecologically important sites across the county into active conservation management. The project is funded through the Local Places for Nature fund.Project Overview:The Countryside & Wildlife Team of Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking to appoint the services of a contractor to carry out site and habitat management works across 20 sites in Neath Port Talbot as part of the ‘Working with Nature- regional project. The primary aim of the project is to bring our existing ecologically important sites across NPT into sustainable, long-term habitat management that will enhance biodiversity in the county as well as meet local greenspace needs, support communities and their health, and build ecosystem resilience.
