Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to receive quotations from provider bidders for supply, support, and management of the Council-s wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN).
The Council is seeking a single supplier or single lead supplier to provide the following requirements under a single contract for the following technical areas:
Area 1: SD-WAN solution. The council requires an SD-WAN solution to replace the current IPVPN network provision to 48 council buildings within the Local Authority boundary and one out-of-borough site supported by the Council for network connectivity. The bidder must also provide the Council with the capability to add additional SD-WAN sites during the contract period if and when required.
Area 2: LAN & Wireless Hardware Support, Monitoring & Maintenance. In addition, under this framework agreement, the Council also require support, maintenance & monitoring for the existing switching infrastructure providing network connectivity at each of the 48 in-borough and 1 out-of-borough WAN sites described in Area 1. The support and maintenance of the Council-s current corporate & guest wireless infrastructure is also a requirement of this further competition.
