Abstract: West Midlands Trains (WMT) are seeking to purchase 500 body-worn cameras with the option to purchase a further 100 body-worn cameras. WMT will require ongoing support and hosting for two years with the option to extend for a further one year, for a potential total of three years. Pricing submitted should remain the same for the full length of any agreement with WMT.Four groups of staff will be the recipients of body-worn cameras:- 1) Station staff covering 140 stations2) Senior conductors operating on trains3) Revenue protection staff operating at stations and on trains4) Gateline staff operating at stations. These staff sign on at designated sign-on locations across the network. Therefore, WMT's approach is for a body-worn camera base station to be located at each of these sign-on points. The base stations will charge units, communicate unit diagnostics and download footage to a central cloud data storage location.
