Abstract: WEPCO, a partnership between the Development Bank of Wales and Meridiam, is seeking to procure a Design & Build Contractor to deliver the Cardiff and Vale College (CaVC) Project on behalf of the Project Co established for the project. This is the first College project being developed under the MIM model, with an overall pipeline of 35 new schools and colleges (primarily new buildings, but some on existing premises) throughout Wales.The project is to provide two new Further Education campuses, whilst there will be some 14 - 16 year old learners, nearly all learners will be post 16 with a significant number of adults, employed learners including apprentices and businesses.The campuses will also provide facilities for the community and local businesses on the following two separate sites;• (1) Advanced Technology Centre, Rhoose at Cardiff Airport• (2) Barry Waterfront Campus.These sites will cater for around 1,500 and 1,800 learners (a mix of full and part time delivery including evenings and weekends) respectively.
