- Tenders are invited for Derry City and Strabane District Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified provider to publish public notice adverts for the Council's Planning Department. The provider will be responsible for publishing statutory and non-statutory notices related to planning applications, decisions, appeals, enforcement actions, local development plans and other planning matters. The provider will also be required to liaise with the relevant Council officer to provide proof of publication and invoices for each notice. Council-s Planning departments in Northern Ireland have a statutory obligation to publish planning notices in accordance with the Planning (General Development Procedure) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015. Article 8 (1) (a) requires the Planning Authority to “publish notice of the application in at least one newspaper circulating in the locality in which the land to which the application relates is situated. This provision relates to all planning applications. Planning notices inform the public of the applications received, decisions made and appeals lodged by the planning authorities. Planning notices are published on the planning portal website and in local newspapers. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.
