Description : The Medicine Hub https://ahdb.org.uk/medicine-hub has been developed by AHDB on behalf of industry as a platform to hold centralised medicine data for the ruminant sectors and to enable reporting against industry-agreed targets for responsible antibiotic use https://www.ruma.org.uk/ .There is a significant challenge to populate the Medicine Hub with data from the ruminant sectors, compared with the pig sector - given the significantly higher number of producers and more fragmented supply chains particularly for beef and sheepThere are four main routes of data entry onto the Hub: -a) Direct entry of data by individual farmers, for whom the Hub may also serve as a medicines bookb) Uploading individual farm data via commercial farm management software already managing on-farm recordsc) Uploading medicine sales data from veterinary practices servicing individual farmsd) Uploading individual farm data from bulk data holders and data processors operating within the supply chainAHDB wishes to acquire additional resource to facilitate and accelerate data uploads via three of the above routes (b to d).
