Lancaster City Council is seeking to contract with a suitable qualified and experienced supplier to provide statutory OVS presence for the protection of public and animal health regarding 3rd country OVS - PoAO consignments into & across EU / UK borders in accordance with current EU and UK legislation (UK TARP Regulations 2011, as amended or replaced, Official Control Regulations 2017/625) and requirements of the central competent authorities (Defra & FSA). To enforce the legal scope of operation and apply best practice at The Heysham Port Health Authority (HPHA) /Lancaster City Council designated Border Control Point (BCP) regarding Products of Animal Origin and be legally responsible for the final decision.
