Description : One of the key principles of Operational Modernisation (OMT) is to exploit advances in technology to support the more effective delivery of Official Controls, ensuring that we use robust data, evidence and analysis to support effective decision making. The introduction of improved digital capability for operational inspection, verification and assurance activity will facilitate more accurate, consistent and standardised processes as well as providing additional operational flexibility and efficiency.Since October 2021, due to the significant challenges posed by Covid19, remote digital capability has been utilised, trialling the technology to explore its suitability for use in the work environment, gathering live video, still photography and audio evidence to support remote partial audit assessments with the Veterinary Audit Team.
