Description : This project seeks to refurbish and revitalise the existing children's play area on Willoughton playing field by the introduction of new pieces of play equipment, together with the laying of additional safety surfacing. To help achieve this, it is proposed that all existing play equipment will be removed, with the exception of a slide. The Council's objective is to create playable spaces that offer young people access to as wide a range of play opportunities as possible. The play area is required to meet the needs of children from toddler age through to 12 years. The Council is keen to see the following types of new elements within the play area (subject to available space and Health and Safety guidelines):(i) Wheelchair-inclusive roundabout (ii) Stand in see-saw(iii) Single inclusive springer(iv) Basket swing(v) 2 x flat seat swings(vi) 1 x toddler swing(vii) 1 x "Me-to-you" type swing (to be used by child and parent simultaneously.(viii) 3.3m high rotating cone climber(ix) Play boat with multiple elements including slide, climbing net and lookout tower(x) Flying saucer(xi) Trim trail to include balance beams, stepping stones, drop rope, traverse net, wobble board and monkey bars(xii) 3 x full size adult picnic benches(xiii) Refurbishment of... - Documents :
