Description : We are looking to hire a Road Rail Battery Shunter with the following minimum requirements of: o To carry out shunting moves at its 3 sites (non-public areas - inside and outside the NRM on track and internal roadways) o Standard gauge (1,435mm) o Trailing weight 300 T haulage and stopping capability (unbraked stock). o Smallest curve radius 80m o British Standard loading gauge W6a o Charging power to be no more than 16 amp (240v or 415v AC) o Remote control & ride on facility o Horn & audible movement warning o Visual warning lights, front, and rear o Buffers - to standard international height (1041mm centre from rail top) o Brake system - air brake facility o Coupling - draw hook for screw coupling with option for buck eye and other adaptors o Available for 2 years from May To bring security to the project and our timescale we would also want to receive as part of the tendered response and costings, details of a maintenance and servicing agreement.
