Description : Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of domestic abuse needs assessment, review strategy and proposed implementation plan. Domestic abuse touches the lives, directly or indirectly, of most people in Birmingham. The sheer scale of it causes untold harm to individuals, children and families, communities and damages the social fabric of the city. Growing up in an abusive environment and living in a constant state of control, abuse and terror has profound consequences on a family's well-being, long into the future. Although domestic abuse can happen to anyone, from any background, most domestic abuse is perpetrated by men against women and their children. Following implementation, Local Authorities will have a statutory duty to convene a Local Domestic Abuse Partnership Board.
