Description : The Council requires a consultant to undertake a comprehensive evaluation and review of its Housing Options and Private Rented Services with a focus on the private rented sector, assessment of housing, assessment of housing need, allocation of social housing and homelessness in particular temporary accommodation. A review is sought to provide an expert evaluation of the current service delivery and options for improvement to meet the requirements of a vast increase in the size of the sector. The evaluation will include the consideration of a selective licensing scheme, development of a service strategy and review of service delivery to meet the needs of the expanded market. In addition, an evaluation for utilising capacity in the private rented sector to provide settled accommodation to households in housing need.
