Description : Cheshire East Council is seeking to appoint a single development partner for the residential development of two sites within Crewe town centre - Delamere Street and Chester Street. Development partners will be required to submit proposals for both sites for their tender to be evaluated. Cheshire East Council are seeking submissions which can evidence a clear approach to planning, development and management of mostly affordable housing, as the developers will be required to manage and maintain the properties. The successful partner will be expected to progress the proposed development through the planning process at their own cost and risk. Cheshire East retain the right not to award the contract and withdraw the sites and the opportunity. Both sites are located within Crewe town centre and are currently used as local authority car parks. Cheshire East Council will undertake the required process to declare the car parks surplus and these will be transferred to the successful bidder on receipt of planning permission.
