Description : Birmingham City Council wishes to invite potential suppliers to submit applications to join a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the for the procurement of temporary accommodation through the private rented sector and private registered providers of social housing. The purpose of the DPS is to support the Council's statutory duty to provide temporary accommodation to priority needs households under the housing Act 1996, the Homelessness Act 2002 and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017. These Acts require the Council to provide accommodation on a temporary basis for a minimum of 56 days to relieve or prevent homelessness or for a longer term while permanent accommodation is secured.
