Description : To provide a high quality, effective, efficient, accessible and innovative Oral health promotion and prevention service with the aims of improving oral health and reducing oral health inequalities in the population of London Borough of Hackney and the City of London.The new service aims to achieve following strategic outcomes:Reduction in the incidence and prevalence of decayed, missing and filled teeth in children and vulnerable adultsReduction in the number of children being admitted to hospital for dental caries and the number admitted for tooth extractionsReduction in oral health inequalitiesThe service provision is focused on:1. Early Years and Primary schools including (but not limited to):Application of Fluoride Varnish annually each to children in mainstream and Orthodox Jewish primary schoolsTargeted oral health promotion amongst the Orthodox Jewish communities to be delivered by Orthodox Jewish organisations.Distribution of fluoride toothpaste and Brushing for Life packs amongst childrenTraining of workforce and awareness workshops with parents/carers.2.
