Description : The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) was established in April 2017. The WMGC is owned by the WMCA and its Constituent Members (Birmingham CC, Coventry CC, Sandwell MBC, Solihull MBC, Dudley MBC, Walsall MBC & Wolverhampton CC), with governance that heavily involves the public sector in the majority. Its core WMCA and local authority funding will be used to attract significant additional funding from the private sector and other sources, such as future Devolution Deals. It operates leisure and business tourism programmes Visit and Meet Birmingham, inward investment programme, Business Birmingham, and its partnership programme.
