Description : The Kawamura group has recently moved to the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Newcastle and are establishing a new chemical biology section. A large part of the group's work focusses on developing chemical probes for a range of protein targets and as such biophysical characterization of theses probes is a key element of this work. To achieve this we need to purchase a High-throughput Biophysical Instrument for Kinetic Characterisation, to allow us to determine the kinetic parameters and affinities of the generated novel compounds in a high-throughput low sample requirement fashion. This instrument is being funded by the European Research Council grant SEP-210651063. Short title is CPTarget.
