Description : The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) are seeking to appoint a number of consultants to work with schools and colleges to promote the development of their computing and computer science curriculum.The NCCE is funded by the Department for Education and marks a significant investment in improving the provision of computing education in England.Run by a consortium made up of STEM Learning, the Raspberry Pi Foundation and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, our vision is to achieve a world-leading computing education for every child in England.We provide high-quality support for the teaching of computing in schools and colleges, from Key Stage 1 through to A level. Our extensive range of training, resources and support covers elements of the curriculum at every Key Stage, catering for all levels of subject knowledge and experience.The CS Champion function can be taken up by one person or shared between several people. This will be based on the region's needs analysis, secondary experience needed and the reach the CS Champion needs to achieve.Reporting directly to a Computing Hub team member, supporting them in meeting their KPIs, with oversight of the CS Champions provided by the CSA Programme Manager.
