Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is seeking to undertake a further wide ranging market engagement exercise with organisations interested in operating The Launchpad (An Innovation Centre). The original Market Engagement was undertaken in 2018. Much in the world has changed since 2018 and accordingly, the Council would again like to invite those with experience of developing and managing innovation centres, or similar purpose-led enterprises, to meet with Council representatives to respond to some key questions which could shape our revised plans for The Launchpad. In short, we wish to test the original assumptions around Launchpad given COVID-19 and its impacts on the wider economy. Accordingly, we would like to invite those with experience of developing and managing innovation centres (or similar purpose-led enterprises) to complete the related questionnaire with a view to attending interviews with Council representatives for informal discussions to help possibly shape plans for The Launchpad.
