Description : The Contractor (Align JV) has identified a package of works for the supply and installation of Primary Steel associated with our works on the Chiltern Tunnels Shaft Head Houses and Portal Buildings. The scope of works will include the undertaking of shop drawings, manufacture, supply, delivery and required plant and cranage to install approx. 260T of primary steelwork. This includes all steel columns, beams and bracing elements supporting the roof and all connections to the headhouse and portal buildings RC elements. The subcontractor will be responsible for the connection design and the design of fixings between steelwork and RC elements. The package will be competitively tendered and assessed against a split between commercial (price) and defined technical criteria.
