Description : The SW Competition is a single funding opportunity which brings together two fuel poverty schemes. Through the SW Competition, Government aims to save households money, reduce fuel poverty, cut carbon, and support the aims of the Prime Minister's 10 Point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution. The SW Competition provides funding to upgrade homes both on and off the mains gas grid and is comprised of £286.8m for low-income households heated by mains gas through a third phase of LAD, and of £152.2m for low-income households off the gas grid through HUG 1, with a further c. £67m made available in April 2022, totalling c. £219m of investment in HUG 1. 7. The SW Competition will provide funding to improve low energy performance off grid and on gas grid homes in England by installing Eligible Measures.
