Abstract: The purpose of this tender is to ensure strong governance assurance, early identification of risk and due diligence for sport in Wales. The current governance assurance package is provided by an independent consultant. This current contract comes to an end on 31st March 2021. The new contract will commence on 1st April 2021 and will be awarded for 24 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months if both parties are willing to do so.Setting high aspirations for how the sport sector is governed and led is central to our purpose of enabling sport in Wales to thrive. Sport Wales is commissioning a total of 3 packages of work (including this one) to run concurrently for 24 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months if both parties are willing to do so. These focus on governance support; finance and financial governance support; and governance assurance.
