Description : VisitEngland's Tourism Superstar competition, now in its tenth year and run in partnership with the Mirror newspaper, takes place during English Tourism Week which usually runs in late March/early April. The competition recognises and celebrates those in the tourism industry who go the extra mile to ensure tourists in England have an amazing and unforgettable visitor experience. Tourism Superstar nominees are passionate about where they work and the destination they live in and consistently set the bar high for the standard of service in England's tourism industry. Nominations are usually made by Destination Management Organisations, attractions and tourism businesses' and come from right across England. The selection panel identifies 10 finalists who participate in the competition and are filmed for the purposes of the public vote, with the vote taking place on the Mirror website. The finalist with the highest number of votes wins the title of Tourism Superstar for that year.
