Abstract: NHS Golden Jubilee has a requirement for an indirect calorimeter system. The system requires the following features:- Suitable for use with ventilated and unventilated patients- Must support the use of a face mask and/or a canopy hood- System must comply with ESPEN guidelines- Results must be available in under 15 minutes- Must be portable with battery backup to support easy transfer between patients- Must allow cleaning with neutral detergent wipes and Actichlor plus (Free Chlorine) disinfectant.- Must not require detailed interaction and user calibration before use- Supports simplified workflow without the need for in-depth specialist training
