    Description : The Business and Tourism Programme (BATP) seeks to maximise the benefits of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games to the UK and the region as a business, investment and tourist destination. A critical element of the evaluation of the BATP is an assessment of the additionality of the programme - i.e. the in-flows of investment and tourism to the UK and the West Midlands which are directly attributable to the programme, as distinct from those which would have happened anyway. While CRM and other management information systems will inform much of this assessment, this is not the case for the following key components of the Programme (i) marketing campaigns in key markets and associated promotional and communications activity, (ii) activities within the leisure tourism workstream which aim to attract additional visitors and spend to the region and (iii) the range of conferences and events to be staged at UK House, a high profile venue within the region. As a result these three pieces of research need to be commissioned to meet this requirement.
