- Tenders are invited for The project includes the resurfacing and improvement works, including the upgrading of drainage and addition of Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) to the central reservation, for a length of the existing A2 Sydenham Bypass City Bound. The site is located within Belfast and begins at the Holywood Road/Sydenham Bypass junction and extends 3.9km to the end of the Bridge End flyover. The project shall comprise the works described within the Works Information (3 of 4). The works include without limitation the provision of the following Principal Work Activities: 1. Traffic Management (including lane closures and full closures as detailed in spec app. 1/17); 2. Site Clearance (including removal of barriers, fencing, kerbing); 3. Fencing; 4. Vehicle restraint systems; 5. Various pavement constructions; 6. Pavement inlay; 7. Pavement overlay; 8. Highway drainage (including gullies, chambers and pipework); 9. Localised drainage replacements; 10. Footway surfacing; 11. Kerb installation(including kerb drains); 12. Traffic Signals loop cutting and ducting; 13. Road Markings; 14. Grass seeding.
