The project objectives are as follows:
1. Identify and explore innovative solutions to improve the reliability and performance of dynamic cable interfaces in floating offshore wind farms.
2. Identify technologies that are well established and what type of interfaces are expected across different types of designs e.g. substructures.
3. Propose new design approaches and materials for dynamic cable interfaces that enhance reliability, ease of installation, and operational resilience and provide an understanding of current expectations and best practice.
4. Investigate the standardisation of dynamic cable interfaces to simplify design, manufacturing, and installation processes in collaboration with industry, academic, and regulatory stakeholders.
5. Establish a comprehensive testing and qualification framework to validate the performance, mechanical strength, environmental resilience, and longevity of new dynamic cable interfaces.
6. Highlight methodologies for monitoring the health and integrity of dynamic cable interfaces, potentially utilising advanced sensing technologies, and develop maintenance procedures and best practices
