Gateshead Council Energy Services Team need to renew our Data Collector contract to cover the solar portfolio of half of HH and NH import and export mpans. Most are under Local Authority ownership some are private, i.e. Gateshead College or Gateshead Academies. The scheme is on a rent a roof basis, i.e. Gateshead Council is providing all of the capital funding for the schemes, but in return is collecting all of the Feed In Tariff and all of the Export Tariff also. The sites are benefitting from the generated electricity ‘sold- to them at a reduced rate. In order to provide accurate reads to support invoicing to both EON for the FIT charges and the sites for the power supplied we need to be able to capture all of the metered data. The import data is already captured, the generation data is catered for in the package supplied with the scheme from British Gas. However all sites have had to either have their import meters reconfigured to record export data, or have a new HH export meter installed.
