Description : Portsmouth City Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified suppliers to deliver circuses and associated entertainment at Southsea Common and King George V Playing Fields, Cosham. Three events are planned for the 2022 season, two at Southsea Common and one at King George V Playing Fields. Suppliers can bid for one, two of three events. Event 1 : Southsea Common - Operating period of up to 2 weeks and 4 days between dates of 15th April - 2nd May 2022 Event 2 : Southsea Common - Operating period of up to 2 weeks between dates of 12th September - 26th September 2022 Event 3 : King George V Playing Fields - Operating period of 1 week between dates of 17th June - 19th August 2022 Historically, the two locations have lent themselves to different types of events. Southsea Common has typically favoured traditional big top events aimed at a wide audience, with King George V Playing Fields hosting a smaller event aimed at families and younger audiences. With this in mind, the Council is offering each event as a separate Lot.
