Description : The proposed scheme replaces the existing 4 way traffic signal at the junction of the WeltonRoad/Water Lane(A63 slip road link)/Welton Low Road with a 3 way signalised roundabout,with Welton Low Road becoming a priority junction. It includes pedestrian and cycleimprovements largely to improve the route to South Hunsley School to and from Brough. Theexisting junction is elevated and the new roundabout is elevated on an embankment tomatch the existing levels. The existing junction creates congestion at peak hours with largequeues forming mostly from commuter traffic to Hull in the am peak and from Hull in the pmpeak, the proposals are expected to reduce this queuing.
