Description : Highways England wishes to formally make the market aware of a potential opportunity relating to the A303 Stonehenge (Amesbury to Berwick Down) Project.
The main construction contract is currently being procured, and will be a NEC4 target cost construction contract. Under this contract our contractor will design, construct and commission a 13 km dual carriageway, including a 3.3 km twin bored tunnel beneath the Stonehenge World Heritage Site. Following award of the construction contract in late 2021, it is expected that work on site will commence in late 2022 and continue for 5 years. Following completion of the works, there will be an extended maintenance period of 5 years.
Highways England seeks a delivery assurance partner as part of Highways England's leadership team to assist with the delivery assurance of this construction contract. This contract is expected to last 7 years with an optional 5 years extension.
