    Project Description : The Dawlish to Holcombe scheme is the 4th phase in the South West Rail Resilience Programme and identifies nine key sites that are in need of cliff stabilisation work to be completed by March 2024.
    Phase 4 runs from CBU18 (just north of Parsons Tunnel) northwards to CBU26 (Dawlish) or MLN1 206m 34ch - 207m 9ch. The current proposal for this scheme includes a mixture of rock anchors, soil nails, catch fences and meshing. This scheme is currently at PACE 2 (GRIP 4) with an agreed AiP design for the majority of the scheme.
    It is anticipated, the appointed contractor will be required to carry out negotiations with current land owners for access along the crest of the cliffs, as well as liaise with all relevant bodies regarding any required consents, including Natural England regarding works in the SSSI at CBU26.
    Network Rail proposes to invite supply chain candidates to participate in a competitive procurement process for the above mentioned works. Any interested candidate will be subject to pre-qualification and, Network Rail will shortlist 4 candidates for the tender stage. Due to funding and consents, the estimated value range is between £15million to £25million.
