Abstract: The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (referred to as `Tower Hamlets` or the `Authority`) would like to invite organisations to submit applications through a dynamic purchasing system process to become accepted providers of the Tower Hamlets Tier 2 Weight Management Service.Tier 2 weight management service is aimed at all Tower Hamlets residents who meet the eligibility criteria. The service will support them to achieve better health and well-being outcomes.The service will link with Tier 1 universal services such as local gyms and Tier 3 weight management service where appropriate.Contract start and expiry date: contract starts on 16.9.2019 until 15.9.2022, with a possible 2 years extension (15.9.2024).Estimated contract value: 154 000 GBP per year; 462 000 GBP for 3 years; additional 308 000 GBP for the extension periods; total value: 770 000 GBP.Overweight and obesity presents a major challenge to the current and future health of the local population.
