Description : Located on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. DLS allows researchers from academia and industry to investigate the structure and behaviour of the world around us at the atomic and molecular level.The facility is about to undergo a major upgrade to its main accelerator system which requires the upgrade of its associated control hardware, this tender is prepared with the intention of procuring the supply of PLC hardware to be used in this upcoming upgrade and for a framework for supply of PLC hardware for other projects following the upgrade of the Diamond facility.The contract is for the supply of Omron NX series PLC equipment to be integrated into all areas of the control system alongside our existing installed Omron PLC equipment.
