The Trust is made up of two of London's best-known teaching hospitals - St Thomas' Hospital and Guy's Hospital. Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children is an international centre of excellence in child healthcare. Since its formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children's healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illness. Located in the Bloomsbury area of the London Borough of Camden, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children is the UK's largest paediatric centre for many services including heart problems, brain surgery, and gene therapy.
