Description:
Oral health among children under five in England remains a significant public health concern. On the 7th of March 2025, the government announced plans to implement a national targeted supervised toothbrushing (STB) programme for children aged 3, 4 and 5 in the most deprived communities to improve oral health outcomes.

As part of this programme, we require a contractor to collect, pack and deliver the resources needed for the STB programme within school and nursery settings and child minders in Stockport. For clarity, the contractor will not be responsible for purchasing the toothbrushing resources.

The resources comprise of toothbrushes, toothpaste (including Colgate prepackaged toothbrush and toothpaste packs), toothbrush stands, timers, mouth model and brush, and storage cabinets. These will be stored at a central location in Stockport (Merseyway shopping centre) for duration of the programme. You will be required to collect the resources from here for onward packing and distribution.

The process detailing the involvement of the contractor is as follows:
1. You will be notified when a setting signs up for the programme. This may be a school, nursery setting, child minders or other appropriate setting in Stockport. The notification will be sent via email advising how many of each of the above resources are needed and where they should be sent to.
