Description:
Newham Libraries are looking for a supplier who would provide materials for a summer reading scheme across 10 libraries. It would run from June to September each year and would have around 40,000 children taking part.

Physical resources should include:
• a joining leaflet / pamphlet to track progress with the challenge.
• Rewards such as stickers
• a variety of incentives to encourage children to keep reading.
• At the end there would be a medal and a certificate.
• A range of marketing materials including posters in different sizes, banners, pull-ups
• Accessories including t-shirts and lanyards for young volunteers.
• Resources also available in languages other than English
• Downloadable supporting documentation - activities, presentations, instructions, template letters
• Evaluation of the scheme
• Website for online participation with gamification and book recommendations
• A linked winter reading scheme

Age appropriate
There should be two versions of the scheme - the regular scheme for all children over 4 and a simplified scheme for younger children.

Design
The scheme would have a change of theme each year and would be illustrated by established children's illustrators.
Any illustrated characters must be representative of children who are taking part in the challenge.
