Derbyshire County Council and Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) jointly commission 2 carer service contracts; 1 covering adult carer services and 1 covering young carer services. Here is a summary of the scope of the existing arrangements: 1. Derbyshire Carer information, advice, assessment and support service for adult carers
• Prevention delivery including information, advice, guidance, peer support/carer groups and befriending, carer training and learning
• Carer health and wellbeing, including health liaison
• Delegated statutory duties to carry out carer assessment & support planning, carer reviews and the determination and provision of carer personal budgets, (this includes parent carers in transition and young carers in transition)
• Promotion and sign up to the carer emergency card service operated by Derbyshire County Council
• Strategic engagement and influencing activity, including promotion of the service, working with other providers and partners across the system This service is currently provided by Derbyshire Carers Association and further details of the service can be found here Derbyshire Carers Association 2.
