Description:
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Intended Approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, Procurement Act Regulations 2023 do not apply to this award. The intention is to follow the most suitable provider process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 to award this contract. The award decision-maker(s) are Director of Public Health, Education and Inclusion. The service required is to carry out a 6-month pilot of the Enhanced Health Check service model in Solihull, described below. The pilot is strictly limited to a duration of 6 months only with no further follow-on. Once concluded, an evaluation of the pilot will be used to inform future service design and delivery. The Enhanced Health Check service model pilot comprises: 1. NHS health checks To undertake a targeted approach to work on behalf of all practices in Solihull to increase the uptake and delivery of NHS health checks. The provider will require access to all clinical systems and will agree with practices a process to undertake the following: • Case finding • All communication with patients (invitations to health check appointment, query handling) • Patient follow up All health checks will be undertaken by qualified HCAs, using Point of Care Testing equipment to enable results to be discussed at the health check appointment. 2.
