Description:
The Highland Council is currently reviewing its options for purchasing two waste shredders to allow Bulky Waste (and POPs contaminated Bulky Waste) to be shredded to improve haulage efficiencies and allow such waste to be sent directly to energy recovery treatment facilities.In advance of undertaking a procurement for such equipment the Council is undertaking a formal market engagement exercise to understand the market for shredders and whether there were any aspects that would provide commercial and/or operational benefits to the Council.Prior to finalising documentation and publishing a proposed shredder purchase tender later this year, the Council would appreciate hearing views from potential providers of shredders through the following questions.
