Description : The requirement is to carry out on site Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) of all portable, movable, IT, Static or Handheld plug-in electrical equipment (approx. 64,000 items)The contract Excludes Electronic Medical Equipment which is managed via a separate contract and Extra Low Voltage equipment except for any mains voltage parts (e.g., Transformers, PSU's).Testing to include visual inspection of each item, full PA Testing using a calibrated approved tester in accordance with current guidance. In addition, the contract shall include microwave leakage tests.The contractor shall fix to each item tested a current test label (except for residential staff's own equipment) showing the month and year of the next recommended test and a unique ID number. Existing ID numbers can be re-used or replaced at each test. New items to be added for testing and labelling at each monthly visit as found or as instructed by Estates.Tests to be undertaken in the first 2 months at the beginning of the calendar yearLocations to be tested in a similar order each year to maintain continuity of test dates.
