Description : NWL CCG requires a community ophthalmology service for adults with eye conditions that do not require input from the hospital eye service. This may include, but is not exclusive to, minor eye conditions (including red eye, floaters etc); pre- and post-operative care for routine procedures (e.g. simple cataracts); referral refinement and extended diagnostics prior to hospital referral; and management of patients with stable long-term eyecare conditions (e.g. stable glaucoma). Users require rapid and local access to professional advice and support.
