- We are seeking proposals from experienced leisure activity providers to deliver seasonal water-based activities at Stowe Pool as part of a trial. Our aim is to transform Stowe Pool into a vibrant community hub, offering exciting, sustainable recreational opportunities while preserving the area's historic charm.
We are offering leisure providers the opportunity to deliver a range of water-based activities at Stowe Pool, including:
• Rowing boats
• Paddleboarding
• Open water swimming
• Diving
The trial will run for the 2025 summer period, and we are looking for providers who can bring these activities to life while ensuring safety, environmental sustainability, and an inclusive experience for all participants.
What we offer
• Fully restored boathouse: The boathouse will be available for use at a competitive rent to the successful bidder. It has been renovated to provide a customer service space and could include a small lightweight café or sales area (no plumbing, mains electricity or waste disposal - we will provide portable power). It also does not have disabled access, so any provider would need to consider how they would accommodate disabled customers.
• Safe water: The pool water will be regularly tested to ensure safety for all activities.
• Mitigation of wider uses of the pool: We will work to ensure a smooth integration of your activities onto the water to ensure other pool users do not affect a successful trial.
