Installation Of Pigeon Netting Fairfield Hall Underground Car Park
The Council is seeking to engage a supplier for the Installation of Pigeon netting at Fairfield Hall underground car park. Croydon has a large population of feral pigeons. The carpark with all its cable trays and pipework provides ideal roosting sites and is mainly being used as a night roost. Resulting in fouling throughout the car park. Which presents a significant health risk due to disease as well as possible slip hazards, there is also the potential for damage to vehicles from the acidic nature of the fouling. We require pigeon netting to be installed throughout the car park to prevent the pigeons from roosting and nesting. This will reduce maintenance cost by not having to have regular specialist cleaning.
