Description : Location: Outer Skerry Minor Light, Yell Sound (Latitude 60°33.034 N, Longitude 001°18.311 W) The proposed project is the upgrade and refurbishment of the AtoN and shall consist of the following works: - 'HCL' fall arrest system re-certification; - delivery of necessary plant/materials to site; removal of redundant electrical cubicles, batteries and cabling; - installation of new pedestal and lantern; replacement of solar panels; - installation of control cubicle; - replacement of batteries with new Nickel Metal Hydride; - installation of new solar regulator cubicle; - de-mobilisation of site and clearing of all surplus materials and plant. As part of the project works the Principal Contractor is required to organise an early 'Initial' pre-site start Asbestos Survey / Report within the NLB estate via and UKAS accredited asbestos company to identify and hopefully remove any asbestos containing materials before Contractor's personnel arrive on site.
