Abstract: ** THIS NOTICE IS FOR MARKET ENGAGEMENT PURPOSES ONLY **The Kent County Council (KCC) wishes to engage with suppliers regarding capacity in the market to provide processing and disposal services of Street Sweepings collected by a street sweeper vehicle and Highway Mechanical Arisings (SS & HMA).KCC is seeking commissioning options from 31st May 2024. The current contract covers the whole County but may be split into lots by geographical regions following the commissioning strategy and/or market engagement feedback.The supplier will be required to have in place:• a waste processing facility with appropriate permitting and planning permissions;• a facility which is able to manage the processing of waste typically swept from a highway throughout the year (with varying composition dependent on the season, e.g. Autumn leaf-fall)• an electronic weighbridge for the weighing-in of material delivered to their facility to provide the Council with the appropriate management information (including weigh-loader transaction listings);• policies and procedures that recover materi...
