Abstract: This Market Sounding Briefing and Questionnaire ('Market Sounding'), issued by High Speed Two (HS2) Limited (HS2 Ltd) seeks to obtain market feedback in relation to the procurement for the Supply of Zero Carbon Energy from trial operations and dynamic testing stage to full operations.HS2 Ltd is keen to increase the zero-carbon generation capacity in the UK, rather than taking from existing generation capacity.A number of options have been considered for obtaining this requirement, HS2 Ltd consider that entering into one or more Corporate Power Purchase Agreement(s) may be most effective. Whilst the contract HS2 Ltd is seeking to procure will be primarily one for supplies, it may also contain a limited number of ancillary/related services and/or works such as sleeving services.HS2 will connect London Euston with Birmingham Curzon Street via a dedicated high-speed line.
