Description:
There is a requirement on Translink NI Railways to obtain ECM Certification as per (EU) 2019/779 for its passenger fleet during 2023. Translink operate regular services cross border between Belfast and Dublin and as a result of Brexit, ECM certification is mandatory as per the 2019/779 Regulation.

Abstract: Translink NI Railways require the services of an accredited certification body for entities in charge of maintenance to carry out the initial assessment and certification activities to enable and ECM certificate to be awarded. All necessary surveillance activities as per regulation during the 5-year validity of the certification cycle are also required from the successful supplier.The ECM certificate will cover all local and cross border traction and rolling stock maintained by Translink NI Railways, and a small number of freight wagons and on-track machines.
