- This tender is to understand if there is an expression of Interest and to obtain quotations for the supply and instalation of technical equipment throughout Falklands Islands Radio studios and technical areas
It has emerged that technical issues pose a serious and imminent threat to Falklands Radio-s ability to continue that tradition and meet those requirements. The current Studio equipment used by Falklands Radio (FR) was installed and commissioned in 2007 and is very much end-of-life. Many spares are not available and resultingly it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the system. At the same time much of the rest of the broadcast and IT equipment is in a poor state. This means that the output of the Station is at risk of failing (quite possibly with no notice) and taking FR off air indefinitely - Documents:
