Description : Essex County Council are procuring on behalf of Tendring District Council an Active Outdoor GymINTRODUCTIONTendring District Council has secured £65,000 of funding to develop an active outdoor gym on land adjacent to York Road Car Park in Holland on Sea.ObjectivesThe purpose of the gym will be to improve strength and balance through natural, every day movement, and to offer rehabilitation in those recovering from injury or illness. The equipment must reflect that the community groups most likely to use this will be those with poorer mobility/dexterity. The colours used for equipment should reflect the fact that there may be users with forms of dementia, for which some colours can prove challenging.The gym may be utilised by groups undertaking rehabilitation with a trained professional, or by members of the public alone.
